Volunteering

The Friends help in a number of ways. Volunteers from
the "Museum Volunteers Society", a section of the Friends,
are welcomed into the stores to help with the many tasks behind
the scenes, working with the staff on collections, their care and interpretation.

There have been occasions when members have been able to
assist the Museum Service with specialist knowledge in locating
and identifying objects.
